VISION
We envision a vibrant Hustle dance culture and community in Vancouver that is celebrated internationally for pushing the boundaries of the Hustle.
MISSION
We do this by curating safe and joyful spaces for movers of all backgrounds to learn traditional Hustle culture while encouraging self-expression that continues to drive Hustle innovation and excellence.
VALUES
These principles guide our work.

Financially Accessible
We provide free hustle dance classes whenever possible, and financially accessible programming year round.

Inclusive of Gender and Dance Background
We strive to create a gender neutral environment where dancers are encouraged to learn both the lead and follow roles, and empower those of all skill levels to participate in our classes and sessions. We promote active inclusivity to encourage diversity.

Social Connection
We create a welcoming space where people of all ages, industries, and backgrounds can connect socially through a fun activity, and are provided with a safe space for physical connection through dance.

Fostering Community
We encourage the development, passion, and joy of hustle dancers and teachers. By nurturing our community we are contributing to the global hustle dance scene and its history.

Safety
We cultivate a supportive environment that prioritizes physical and emotional safety, and well-being while participating in our offerings. We encourage individuals to freely express themselves while always respecting the boundaries of consent through our implemented systems, including our Code of Conduct

Participation Over Excellence
We ensure that everyone's perspective is heard, and emphasize the value of being a presence in the community. To us, it is most important to have our community's participation and ideas apparent in both dance and discussions.
WHERE WE ARE
We acknowledge we are on the unceded territories of the xÊ·məθkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and SelÌ“ÃlÌ“witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We thank them for having cared for this land for millennia and hope there's some way for us to give back a small measure of our gratitude.
HOW WE STARTED
In 2013 a small group of street dancers in Vancouver were getting swept up in the hustle revival they were seeing in events around the world. Unfortunately none of them knew anything about partner dance, so they decided to get together every Tuesday at Robson Square to swap the few things they knew. From these humble beginnings the sessions grew and the dancers learned. Some focused on traveling and connecting, some focused on learning from the founders of the style, and some jumped to fusing it with other dance forms. Only 3 things stayed consistent - a spirit of inclusivity, a strong focus on connection, and free open classes on Tuesday nights.

Six years later, the Vancouver scene is known around the world as one of the best hustle scenes. Our events attract visitors from around the world, our dancers are flexing their creative wings with this wonderful art form, and the Tuesday sessions regularly bring in over 100 people on warm summer nights.
